Mr Zain Azrai from the Academic Department who is also the UNITAR Education Core (UNIEC) Coordinator assisted by his colleagues from Academic Department distributed the Lenovo high-tech hybrid tablets to October 2016 semester’s students, as well as briefing them on the features and tips on these tablets at SIDMA College UNITAR Sabah on 13 April 2017.

The tablets are specially designed and built in with Pearson Electronic Learning Programmes such as e-books which enable students’ easy access and referencing both during lectures, tutorial and group discussion activities in the classroom, as well as accessing further reading during their own private studies or free time outside the campus.

With these tablets, students are able to benefit fully from UNITAR Virtual Learning Environment, as it enables students to access UNIEC, a framework that governs all teaching and learning activities in UNITAR International University, which is based on the “Student-Centric Approach”, integrated with the 21st Century Learning Concepts, and incorporated with all the necessary and relevant approaches for today’s students to explore, reflect and learn.

Using these tablets, students can also collaborate and liaise with their course leaders, lecturers, tutors, and fellow students throughout the country both academically and socially, through creating, exchanging, reviewing, sharing ideas as well as one’s knowledge and skills.
