Introduction

This programme will help to equip the graduates with the knowledge and skills to be early childhood educators and related professionals. According to the Malaysian Education Development Plan 2001-2010, the Ministry of Education will make an effort to ensure that all primary schools are graduate teachers.

As of current demand, there is a critical shortage of qualified early childhood education teachers in both government schools and private institutions. The demand for highly qualified teachers who will serve as expert resource persons in early learning program is very high.

The programme is offered as there is a need to train and produce quality and excellent professional early childhood educators that embody university's mission and vision. This will also provide opportunities for graduates to work in schools, colleges, government and non-governmental agencies as well as the private sectors.
